Overview
These Subscription Terms govern paid plans, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and related account actions for BookRoar subscription services.
Subscription Plans and Billing
Plans: Subscription features, pricing, and billing cycles are described on the Plans page and in My Account.
Payment authorization: By subscribing you authorize BookRoar and our payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for recurring fees and any applicable taxes or fees.
Billing cycle: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled prior to renewal.
Trials Promotions and Discounts
Free trials: If a free trial is offered, it begins on the date you sign up and ends after the trial period. You must cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.
Promotional pricing: Promotional or introductory pricing applies only for the specified period and will revert to the standard price thereafter.
Cancellation and Deactivation
How to cancel: Cancel subscriptions through My Account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
Immediate deactivation: If you delete your account, access to subscription features ends immediately and any unused credits or content may be lost.
No other cancellation methods: Cancellation requests sent by email or other means may not be accepted unless explicitly stated.
Refunds and Credits
Refund policy: Refunds are discretionary and handled in accordance with the Refund Policy described on the site. Where required by law, consumer rights to refunds and cancellations are preserved.
Chargebacks: If you dispute a charge with your bank, we may suspend or terminate your account pending resolution. You remain responsible for any fees incurred due to chargebacks.
Failed Payments and Account Suspension
Failed payment attempts: If a payment fails we will attempt to retry and notify you to update payment details.
Suspension: Continued failed payments may result in suspension of subscription features until payment is resolved.
Changes to Pricing and Terms
Price changes: We may change subscription prices. We will provide notice of price increases and, where required, obtain consent for material changes.
Changes to terms: We may update these Subscription Terms; continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
Taxes Fees and Third Party Charges
Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes. We may collect taxes where required.
Third‑party fees: Any fees charged by payment processors or third parties are separate and not controlled by BookRoar.
Account Ownership and Sharing
Single user accounts: Subscriptions are for the account holder only unless a multi‑user plan is purchased. Sharing credentials may result in suspension.
Transfer: Subscriptions are non‑transferable except with our prior written consent.
Termination by BookRoar
Breach: We may suspend or terminate subscriptions for breach of these Terms or the Moderation Policy.
Refunds on termination: Refunds on termination are subject to the Refund Policy and applicable law.

Governing Law
Law: These Subscription Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumer rights under local law remain unaffected.
